Windows 2002/XP using Outlook
  • Go to Start > Programs > Microsoft Outlook.
  • From the menu bar, select Tools > E-mail Accounts. Select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
  • Select POP3 and click Next.

Where it asks for User Information, enter your first and last name and e-mail address (your user name @littlebuck.net).

Where it asks for Server Information, enter mail.littlebuck.net as the Incoming mail server and mail.littlebuck.net as the Outgoing mail server.

Where it asks for Logon Information, enter your complete e-mail address as the User Name and the password for that account as the Password.

    Now click More Settings.
  • Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check the box labeled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.

Then choose the button marked Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  • Click on the Advanced tab and check that the Incoming server (POP3) is set to 110 and the Outgoing sever (SMTP) is set to 25. When you have verified these settings, click OK.
  • Congratulations! Microsoft Outlook has now been set-up for your Little Buck email account! Click Finish. If you look at the left side of your Outlook window, there will be a menu; click on the Inbox icon. This is where new messages will appear when you check for email with your account. If you want to check and see if you got all this right, continue with the next step.

Test Your Account

  • If you have another email account, just send yourself a message to your new Little Buck Network address. If you don't, call up a friend and ask them to send an email to your new account. Click on the Send/Receive button to receive your incoming e-mail.
  • Now try sending an email to someone you know, or to another address of your own to make sure your sent mail is working properly.
